Rockets 2008-09 Schedule is out!

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/teams/schedule?team=hou

Rockets open up with 7 of 10 on the road. I'd like to take right now to say F You to the NBA scheduler. Of those 7 games, 4 are against playoff teams from last year, and add in Portland as a team I think will make the playoffs this year. And while the Memphis and Oklahoma games should be cakewalks at home, our only game at home against Boston comes in game 4 of the season.

As if that wasn't enough, we also close the season out with 7 of our last 11 on the road. Again, F You NBA scheduler. 5 of those 7 are against playoff teams from last year and one against Golden State who was only a game or so out. Home games against Portland, Orlando and New Orleans tossed in there.

Definitely pumped for next season and to see what Artest adds to the lineup.

Also, I think Marc Stein has a crush on us or something: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?columnist=stein_marc&page=ScheduleHighlights-080806&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab1pos1

Looking at the schedule, is it possible for us to sweep December? The only ones that scare me that month are @Cleveland and @New Orleans. Then another FU to the schedule maker by starting off the new year w/5 straight on the road.

December looks absolutely sweepable, though having at Cleveland, at New Orleans and then Utah at home isn't exactly an easy stretch. The good thing is that we should be on a 10 or 11 game winning streak going into it.

Our back to backs are @Memphis then back home for Atlanta, Sacramento at home then to Minnesota and then @New Jersey and @Cleveland. So you have it right, the Cleveland game because of the back to back and then the NO game because they are damn good are the scariest. The Utah game will tell us a bit about where we stand though as it's the first time we face them all year.

Thank you Lord! 4 games against the Jazz? That means we get to watch T-Mac cry 4 times this year?!

Prepare for some Live Blogging and Podcasts boys....
