Lee and I participated... somewhat... in the mock draft sponsored by the
Hardwood Paroxysm guys who now are moonlighting over at
Ridiculous Upside. The Rockets have the 25th pick, and I am quickly learning that this is going to be a really tough spot to find a player that will immediately contribute to next year's Rockets roster.
Oh, and not to kill the suspense, but you can see our pick and our rationale for said pick
here.
I really, really hated having to make this pick. We couldn't find a recent photo of our draftee. Here's one of him from third grade though:

This french piece of crap better be as good at basketball as he is at
dodgeball.
Why do you hate the French guy? I think I'd prefer CDR too, but if he ain't there, Batum is probably the next best pick.
ReplyDeleteCould be worse, right? Couldn't it? Thinking, thinking . . .
ReplyDeleteBatum probably is the best pick at the spot giving what we know... but french people are just too easy to mock. And I don't want to feel compelled to mock the same guys I am supposed to cheer for!
ReplyDeleteSacre bleu! My chapeau is spinning.
ReplyDeleteWow, Chad Ford has Donte Green falling to the Rockets at 25 in his latest.

That would be a great pickup as he could be an awesome 6th man at the 3 and 4 if the Rockets wanted to go small. Plus, if they decided to part with McGrady after his current contract, they'd have a younger replacement ready to step in.
CDR goes 27th in this one to New Orleans. If the Rockets are choosing between Green and CDR Thursday night, something went right.
